4th meet and greet with Rui Reis

Meet Rui Reis, Success Engineer at Usercentrics, giving Tech Support to clients and other colleagues.‍

Why did you decide to join Usercentrics?

Because of the people, the job and the opportunity to work remotely.

What are your main responsibilities?

I work as a Success Engineer, giving Tech Support to clients and other colleagues, namely trying to understand why certain things in our products don’t (or do) work.‍

How was your onboarding process?

Fast and Furious.‍

What are the biggest challenges in starting to work remotely? Did change something in your lifestyle?

I was used to working with a team far away from me, so no challenges there. Other than that, the need to create a routine to leave the desk once in a while, and leave the house too.

How is your daily routine?

Wake up, have a bath, break, make a teapot, turn Mac on, work, lunch around 1 pm, work till 5/6 pm, then leave for a walk and/or do work.‍

How do you keep in contact with your team?

Slack, Google Meet, Email, etc.

What is the biggest advantage of starting to work remotely at a company?

No commuting, more time for family (sometimes…).

How did Softlanding support you in this stage?

Helping me get the job, starting, and then setting things up for the beginning of the job and taking care of any issue I might have. Go Softlanding!
